During a discussion on Detroit’s future at the annual “Pancakes & Politics” breakfast, businessman Dan Gilbert suggested that the Detroit Pistons move to downtown Detroit. He says he’s talked before with Pistons owner Tom Gores about the prospect of moving the Pistons to Detroit. Gilbert said, “I always try to put the bug in his ear.”

Detroit mayor Dave Bing announced today that all of the city’s parks will stay open this spring and summer, thanks to reallocated funding, grants and community support.
