The cruise ship Yorktown will make the first of its six scheduled stops in Detroit this summer. The Yorktown is a passenger ship that was built in 1988 and renovated in 2009. The ship is scheduled to disembark at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Port Detroit, located at 130 E. Atwater Street.

The Heidelberg Project held a celebration of the summer solstice this week, as an artist said thanks to volunteers by throwing a picnic. Chief curator Lisa Rodriguez helped construct a photographic wall, documenting the contributions of volunteers to her work at the site.
