This year, St. Francis d’Assisi Parish on Detroit’s southwest side will be celebrating its 125th anniversary.

The parish is looking to get in touch with alumni of the church or school.

A celebration of the founding of the Church community is set for this October.

The church has served the area’s Polish community for years and now also serves the Hispanic community in the immediate area.

St. Francis d’Assisi is located at 4500 Wesson, near Michigan Avenue.

If you are an alumnus of St. Francis d’Assisi church or school, you’re asked to email st.francisdassisi125th@gmail.com.

I Love this church, its one of the most prettiest churches to me. I grew up in the neighborhood and made my Holy Communion there. I pray that it will be there for years longer and keep having its beautiful services.
