Explore Detroit during the World Series

D:hive is offering a series of free tours throughout the World Series this weekend in Detroit.  It’s a way for people from the city, and from out of town, to see what Detroit has to offer.

The tours are free but space is limited so you should register to make sure you get a spot.

Friday 10/26

World Series Bar Tour,  8pm-11pm

Come celebrate the World Series while scoping out some great places to go before, during or after the games on one of the few “off nights” this weekend! You’ll get the inside scoop by hanging out with locals, meeting staff at the bars and learning about what’s going on in Detroit.  Starts at The Well, 1228 Randolph (Near Greektown)

 

Saturday 10/27

4th Saturday’s Insider’s Bus Tour 11am-1pm

The themes that are shaping Detroit are community, collaboration and opportunity. On this tour you’ll see how those themes are woven throughout the city. The route includes an overview of the people, places and neighborhoods that make up Downtown Detroit including the East Riverfront, Midtown, New Center, Eastern Market and Corktown. By the end of this tour you’ll have an insider’s perspective on Detroit’s rich history, current Renaissance and its limitless future. Starts at the D:hive Welcome Center at 1253 Woodward

 

Saturday’s Downtown Highlights Walking Tour, 2pm-4pm

Millions of dollars in development have happened along the Woodward Corridor in recent years and Downtown is at the epicenter of it all. On this tour you’ll see all the major developments as well as unique shops, one-of-a-kind restaurants and recently renovated residential options. You’ll also see some of Detroit’s great historical spots and its world renowned architecture. After this tour you’ll have a better understanding of why Detroit is called the Renaissance City.
Starts at the D:hive Welcome Center at 1253 Woodward

 

Sunday 10/28

D:hive Welcome Center Extended Hours, 4pm – 8pm

Stop by the Welcome Center for information on things to do, places to go and projects going on in Detroit. Buy local merchandise at our retail store that features over 50 local artists with one of a kind items for sale from t-shirts to homemade jam. Whether you’re in the city for a day or a lifetime, D:hive will help you find what you’re looking for in Detroit!

 

Monday 10/28
