Volunteers Build Walls For New Habitat Home
Some new walls are ready to be used for a future Habitat For Humanity Home in Detroit.
About one hundred volunteers took part in our second annual Detroit 2020/Habitat For Humanity BuildUp. They hammered away for half the day on Saturday, building walls at Habitat’s warehouse on Detroit’s east side.
Mans Lumber and Millwork of Canton donated all of the wood. The walls will be used to build a home in the Morningside neighborhood.
Thanks to everybody who came out in the cold to help us out!
Today on Action News at 5pm, Alicia Smith will introduce you to some of the wall-building volunteers, and the people who helped make it all come together.
