Car Show This Weekend To Benefit Homeless Veterans

August 09 2012 | no comments

On Sunday, August 12th, the Michigan Veterans Foundation and Shield’s Pizzeria of Southfield will host its first annual Car Show. It runs from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

It’s a charity fundraiser with all proceeds going to support homeless veterans.

There will be trophies, plus a raffle and prizes.

Shield’s is located at 25101 Telegraph Road, just north of 10 Mile Road.

The Michigan Veterans Foundation is a non-profit agency whose overall objective is to fill the gaps that currently exist in providing services to homeless veterans from the Metropolitan Detroit area, focusing on transitional housing, healthcare services, employment training, and other resources for our veterans.

MVF provides the skills and confidence needed for homeless veterans to break the cycle of homelessness and return to independent living.
