Detroit City Council Approves District Option 3

Members of Detroit City Council have selected option 3 for breaking up the city into council districts.

Under the new charter, each City Council member is to be elected in one of seven districts. Two additional council members will be elected at-large.

The council members had four maps to choose from. But a fifth, submitted by Data Driven Detroit, was not voted on.
