November 07 2011 | 2 comments

A new initiative is being launched to help “reignite retail” in Detroit.

Farbman Group, based in Southfield, is teaming up with metro Detroit’s entrepreneurs, retails and creators for the project.

Reigniting Retail will allow local retailers, designers and artists to showcase their products from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd in the lobby of the Fisher Building. There is a small fee to reserve a spot. The Fisher Building is owned by Farbman.

“Farbman Group supports local talent and the larger goal of making Detroit a retail destination, fed by Michigan vendors and Michigan-made products,” said Andrew V. Farbman, CEO of the Farbman Group.

Interested local vendors including designers, artists and craftspeople should contact Judy Smith at smith@farbman.com or by calling her at (248) 351-4381.

The deadline reserve a spot is November 23rd.
