Quicken Loans Welcomes More Workers Downtown
Quicken Loans founder and chairman Dan Gilbert was joined by Detroit Mayor Dave Bing and City Council President Charles Pugh in welcoming nearly 2,000 more employees downtown.
They’re moving from the suburbs into the 14-story Chase Tower, which Gilbert purchased earlier this year. Other Quicken employees work in the Compuware Building.
Gilbert is hoping to revitalize downtown. He wants other companies to join Quicken Loans and Compuware downtown and make Woodward a high-tech corridor.
“There’s something special going on down here,” Gilbert told the crowd in the lobby of the Chase building.
